
Mr. Marc Balizer

Marc H. Balizer is a Managing Director at BlackRock. Marc co-heads the BlackRock Atlanta Office, leading the office, promoting the 'One BlackRock' culture, and engaging with the local community. Additionally, he is a senior leader in Aladdin business, which offers the firm’s risk and investment management platform to external clients. Marc is a member of the Aladdin COO team focused on employee engagement, culture and talent strategy.
Previously, Marc was integral to the Aladdin Client Engagement Team, overseeing the firm's client relationships within the Aladdin business. He spearheaded the Aladdin Provider Team, aiming to create a more integrated investment management lifecycle by enhancing the operating model between asset managers and asset servicers.
Marc's journey with BlackRock began in 1998 as an Analyst in the Data Integrity Group. He later contributed to the Portfolio Analytics Group, producing daily risk reports for BlackRock. In 2000, he transitioned to the Aladdin Relationship Management Group, playing a key role in implementing Aladdin for its first external client and leading numerous successful client relationships across banking, asset management, and insurance sectors.
Before his tenure at BlackRock, Marc gained valuable experience in the White House, within the Clinton Administration, contributing to the Communications Department and the Office of Legislative Affairs. Residing in Atlanta with his wife, Heather, and their twin sons, Jacob and Sam, Marc is deeply involved in the community. He serves on several boards, including the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) Executive Board, Rotary Club of Atlanta, Atlanta Police Foundation, Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Technology Association of Georgia, The Alliance Theater, The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau and the SWIFT School for Dyslexic Students. He is also a member of the Leadership Atlanta class of 2024.
Marc holds a BS degree in Consumer Economics from the University of Delaware, earned in 1997.
