The Georgia Public Safety Foundation License Plate Challenge Coin was created to commemorate the introduction of the Foundation’s new specialty license plate, which will become available to Georgia motorists in January 2027. More than a collectible, this coin represents a significant milestone in the Foundation’s continuing mission to preserve and promote the history of the Georgia Department of Public Safety.

The front of the coin faithfully reproduces the new specialty license plate, showcasing the design that supporters will soon be able to display on their vehicles across Georgia. The reverse features a sculpted Georgia State Trooper standing before the American flag alongside the Foundation’s official seal, honoring the men and women who have served the Department since its establishment in 1937.
